Collection is also strongly encouraged.Although this item appears to be working fine, it is a vintage computer, and is sold"as is". I will add some additional parcel tape to strengthen the box.As such shipping is to the UK only. Note the unit will be shipped in its original box with no extra external packaging. Shipping This is a large and heavy item, and I can only find one courier that will transport it fora reasonable price.
Wordstar for cp m manuals#
The software includes 3 manuals, two 8" floppy disks and someadditional notes for running Wordstar on the NEC APC.Just to summarise the item consists of the NEC APC base unit in its original box with original shrink wrapped manuals, the NEC APC keyboard in its originalbox, an original copy of MSDOS 2.11 which is on three 8" floppy disks, anoriginal copy of CP/M-86 on 8" floppy disk with 2 manuals, and an originalcopy of Wordstar 3.3 for the NEC APC running MS-DOS on 2 8" floppydisks and with 3 manuals and original box. Sounds a bit exaggerated, found some WordStar history here WordStar 3.0 for MS-DOS Apr 1982 In one single all-night session Jim Fox patched the CP/M-86. I havent investigated this however. Also included is CP/M-86 for the APC computer and two manuals CP/M-86 System GuideCP/M-86 User's GuideFinally I also have a copy of Wordstar 3.3 for the NEC APC when runningMS-DOS. The APC doeshave a built in clock, and it is possible that the battery may need changing given itsage. Working Unit I have tested the system with a set of original APC MSDOS 2.11 disks (which will beincluded with the item) and the system boots normally into MSDOS. I built an Altair-Duino a couple of years ago, and I love it a lot, but it's a) an emulation of CP/M, and b) an 8080 emulation at that. My first shareware programs were written on that beast in Z80 assembler. The keyboard and main unit are both boxed, and the originalmanuals are still shrink wrapped. It ran a version of CP/M that was so efficient, it fit in 2K, leaving 62K - a huge amount of RAM for the day - left for the user.

It is one ofthe few computers that was capable of running MSDOS and CPM/86 using8" disk drives! The unit features a built in monitor, and dual 8" floppy drives.
